about

The text of this track has an interesting origin, I pulled a book of Plato's writings off my bookshelf, and then I started writing this piece by paraphrasing some sentences from a random story.

When I looked back at the original and compared it to mine, the messages were completely different. In summary, my text is a statement of "doing something", or "making a move", rather than waiting for all of the conditions to be perfect; which is a fine summary for taking the RPM Challenge, and in general.

"You have to release at least one arrow to know if you are on target" --- Steve Peckman

lyrics

I was just about to cross the river
I waited for the usual sign,
the sign that forbids.
It never tells me to proceed

I thought I heard a familiar voice,
instructing me, urging me,
Not to cross,
Not until I had made the corrections.

I have a concience, but I am no prophet
Troubled; no words to speak or hear,
Just water lapping at my feet
And swirling illusions
